Construction 1: Filming

On February 9th, we had our first filming session where we filmed the beginning and parts of the middle. There were some problems while filming in a public graveyard such as people were curious as to what we were doing so a few started at us and one man asked us what project we was creating.
The weather was cloudy and cold which could cause problems like if the weather isn't the same on other days we film.
One other problem was that we had to share the sound recorder with another group which caused complications and made us rush some parts of filming and lose some time while we had to meet and tie it to them. which caused us to reduce the amount of time we had for filming.
However, we got a lot filmed within these three hours we had, we just need an extra hour or two to complete the ending and then finish of editing.
We have decided that our next filming dates will hopefully be after school on Thursday the 25th February, where we will finish filming the middle and possibly the ending.

Costume Pictures

The costumes we have chosen to wear are to represent the personality's of the characters.  The costume I will be wearing is to show how my character likes to dress smartly and she's the quiet one of the group who follows what the others are doing. The white shirt and black skirt is meant to show how simple the character is but still wants to stand out. Amy's costume is also very simple and plain which however because it has more colour it shows how her character is a little more outgoing and rebellious. Michael's and Aarons costumes are typical boys clothing. Michael's character is seen throughout the whole opening sequence wearing a hood which shows how his characters is mysterious and likes to cause trouble. His character is also the one who wears the rucksack holding the bottles which shows how he is the leader of the group. Aaron's costumes consists of jeans and a hoodie which shows how his characters is very laid back and doesn't really care about his surroundings

Prop Pictures

The props we have decided to use all link in with the stereotypes of teenagers. The rucksack we are using is to hold other props such as the bottles and cigarettes to, it makes the teens look mysterious because its like they are hiding something. The bottles are meant to show the teenagers rebellious personality because they are underage drinkers. It also makes the audience see the characters as bad people because they are drinking in a graveyard which is meant t be a place of respect but the teens aren't respecting it at all. The lighter is used to carry on the rebellious look of the teenagers and make the audience concentrate on them more because they want know why they are doing what they are doing such as smoking. The tic tacs are to represent drugs because when people think of teenagers they assume they do things they shouldn't so we wanted to follow the typical view of teens to make the opening sequence more interesting.

Travel Arrangements

Sutton Cemetery

As the cemetery is so close to school we only have to walk across the road to get to it. This is convent for us as it means we will have more time to get more shots and to also improve on them. We will start filming on Tuesday the 9th of February during the first three periods. We will then edit our opening sequence so we know which shots we may have to re do or what shots we need to include.
